AUDI e-tron SUV (2019) Features, Interior, Driving

Published on Sep 24, 2018 341,915 views

The Audi e-tron is the first fully electrically powered series production model from Audi. The company presented its sporty full-size SUV – which is suitable for everyday use – to the world for the first time in San Francisco.

The electric SUV is powered by two powerful electric motors that are locally CO2-neutral and virtually silent. A new generation of the quattro drive, the electric all-wheel drive, ensures excellent traction and dynamics. It ensures the continuous and variable regulation of the ideal distribution of drive torques between the two axles – within a fraction of a second.

The Audi e-tron rolls off the assembly line at the CO2-neutral plant in Brussels. Initial deliveries to European customers are planned for late 2018. The starting price of the electric SUV in Germany is 79,900 euros.

John P 6 месяцев назад Dustin Eward who are you kidding .. currently Tesla superchargers are everywhere and Electrify America is vaporware ... it's real easy to make vaporware sound great when it doesn't exist!!
  • Dustin Eward
Dustin Eward 6 месяцев назад (изменено) John P  Tesla Supercharges are broken, overheating, and charging at 20KW everywhere. Electrify America is opening chargers at a faster pace, and they're standards-based for bringing in a few bucks from pretty much any EV. Stop being a clueless fanboy. I test drove a Model S, tried to buy 2 CPOs in spite of the terrible workmanship and low-quality materials. I wanted electric so bad I was willing to overlook it... But, fortunately, the incompetent snowflake staff bungled everything and I eventually gave up be cause I couldn't trust them. Tesla's are only as good as their warranty anyway... A Tesla out of warranty is damned near free for a reason. It's hard to give them away! You're a millennial fanboy who couldn't afford any of these cars even if your mommy and daddy co-signed the 72 month loan for you... You have no idea what reality is.

Philipp Tielmann 6 месяцев назад (изменено) Except both of these cars (EQC and iPace) are poorly/half assed design with way to low range and horrible aerodynamics. Especially the EQC is a huge let-down as it is based on ICE platform (GLC). It is worse in basically every EV metric than a Tesla 3 years ago (range, top speed, acceleration).
  • Philipp Tielmann
Philipp Tielmann 6 месяцев назад Volkswagen wasn't forced to bring EVs to market. They chose to as a reaction to the Diesel Scandal. But yes, in hind sight it might have saved the company. Only something as disastrous as the diesel crises could create a situation in which such a huge company could turn around its focus so quickly.

Tesla is in my opinion really ugly, its western european taste vs us taste, this thing is (in my country) a lot cheaper than a tesla, but sooo much better (pretty normal, tesla is a pretty new company)

  • Keyhan Hadjari
Keyhan Hadjari 6 месяцев назад Audi made quiet shitty cars till 15-20 years ago. But I think compare to Tesla today they are superior. Tesla has probably its advantages on the IT side and battery technology but a car is much more than that and in those areas Audi is much better, heck even Opel is better.
  • luk
luk 6 месяцев назад (изменено) Keyhan Hadjari Quiet shitty cars? How about the silence of a Tesla, and not to mention the build quality? Lol
  • Keyhan Hadjari
Keyhan Hadjari 6 месяцев назад @luk The silence is because of being electric, my guess is that Audi would be more quiet. And yes Audi cars twenty years ago would have not been mentioned in same sentence as Mercedes or BMW
  • luk
luk 6 месяцев назад Keyhan Hadjari And my point was, being quiet has nothing to do with a car being «shitty». Most people looking to buy a car want something quiet. Also, Audi was definitely considered at the same level as Bmw and Mercedes 20 years ago. You would have to go longer bakc, but regardless, it’s now that matters

  • daniel_960_
daniel_960_ 6 месяцев назад Nothing will beat Tesla in their category anytime soon. There’s no competition for model s or x, but the question is how many people want such big and expensive cars. And there’s definitely no competition for model 3. The new e-cars from other manufacturers are all in a different class, whether small and cheap with not much features or midsize SUV. If you want a big limousine or Suv you take tesla, if you want a midsize normal car with good features you take model 3.

stuart silverlock 5 месяцев назад Bet thats what Blocbuster said about Netflix😬😬. Tesla way ahead of the curve and wheres your charging infrastruture🤔🤔
  • SportSoulLife
SportSoulLife 4 месяца назад stuart silverlock Exactly, tesla is Blockbuster, the previous car companies is Netflix. They are entering Tesla teritory, not the other way around. When Tesla started, they also had to build a charging infrastructure. Or did the first tesla model S run on magic? It wont take long for these companies to catch up, especially since they will all (most likely) be using the universal level 3 150kw charger. No need for each of them to individually cover 100% of the area. If Mercedes has a charger built, every other make benefits from it. If tesla has a new one built, only their cars benefit from it. Less customers means less venues, aka charging stations. Eventually it will work like gas stations today. A seperate company provides electricity which people pay for to charge their cars. In the beginning these car makers will propably help out increasing the amount of chargers popping up. Why do you think tesla are quite desperately inviting these new EV to use their charger? They dont want to be left stranded with a network of slower chargers that noone in the end wants to use over the standard fast chargers.
  • stuart silverlock
stuart silverlock 4 месяца назад SportSoulLife Im not sure where you get your info from but your way off. Tesla will “never” allow other manufactures to share their SuperCharger network. I’m more than happy with the 100kw download speed i get with the super charger network. VW have mentioned the other day they will be getting into bed with Tesco’s and installing chargers over the next 3 years the majority of which will have 7kw download speeds 😬😬 and the faster ones only 50kw! Nothing has been mentioned as yet on Porsche,Audi,BMW or Merc charging stations.. I think Tesla are safe for a few years yet🤓
