AUDI e-tron SUV (2019) Features, Interior, Driving

Published on Sep 24, 2018 366,005 views

The Audi e-tron is the first fully electrically powered series production model from Audi. The company presented its sporty full-size SUV – which is suitable for everyday use – to the world for the first time in San Francisco.

The electric SUV is powered by two powerful electric motors that are locally CO2-neutral and virtually silent. A new generation of the quattro drive, the electric all-wheel drive, ensures excellent traction and dynamics. It ensures the continuous and variable regulation of the ideal distribution of drive torques between the two axles – within a fraction of a second.

The Audi e-tron rolls off the assembly line at the CO2-neutral plant in Brussels. Initial deliveries to European customers are planned for late 2018. The starting price of the electric SUV in Germany is 79,900 euros.

Philipp Tielmann 8 месяцев назад Volkswagen wasn't forced to bring EVs to market. They chose to as a reaction to the Diesel Scandal. But yes, in hind sight it might have saved the company. Only something as disastrous as the diesel crises could create a situation in which such a huge company could turn around its focus so quickly.

Philipp Tielmann 8 месяцев назад (изменено) Except both of these cars (EQC and iPace) are poorly/half assed design with way to low range and horrible aerodynamics. Especially the EQC is a huge let-down as it is based on ICE platform (GLC). It is worse in basically every EV metric than a Tesla 3 years ago (range, top speed, acceleration).

Electrify America is opening chargers at a faster pace, and they're standards-based for bringing in a few bucks from pretty much any EV. Stop being a clueless fanboy. I test drove a Model S, tried to buy 2 CPOs in spite of the terrible workmanship and low-quality materials. I wanted electric so bad I was willing to overlook it... But, fortunately, the incompetent snowflake staff bungled everything and I eventually gave up be cause I couldn't trust them. Tesla's are only as good as their warranty anyway... A Tesla out of warranty is damned near free for a reason. It's hard to give them away! You're a millennial fanboy who couldn't afford any of these cars even if your mommy and daddy co-signed the 72 month loan for you... You have no idea what reality is.

Tesla is in my opinion really ugly, its western european taste vs us taste, this thing is (in my country) a lot cheaper than a tesla, but sooo much better (pretty normal, tesla is a pretty new company)

  • SportSoulLife
SportSoulLife 6 месяцев назад stuart silverlock One last thing. The problem i had with Tesla chargers when i went on a roadtrip in one was that, atleast in northern europe, they are always next to the same fast food restaurant every single one of them. It took about 50 minutes for the battery to charge the P85D, so just enough time to get bored, and therefore hungry. Being next to a fast food restaurant with 30-35 minutes of having literally nothing else to do but to wait, its beyond tempting to get a burger. I want the charger to be in parking lots to malls, grocery stores, close to a gym or anywhere were you would normally get out of your car. If you like a burger every other day (or 3 times a day on a roadtrip) and that reataurant happens to be your favourite, thats great, but my body couldnt take that without gaining 100kg. I feel like companies who specialises in providing electricity will do a better job at placing the chargers ina smart and diverse matter, where it would actually be convenient to charge your car.
  • SportSoulLife
SportSoulLife 6 месяцев назад stuart silverlock Also, when it comes to companies who only do chargers, the car brands are much more willing to invest in them. They buy shares, the company gets capital to build more chargers, the car company sells more electric vehicles and gets a cut every time a car uses that companys charger. If they did this with the tesla charger, they just gave capital to their competitor to use wherever they like. Not smart is it?
