New Clear 3 года назад + Abdul Rashid Abdul Mutalib why paul walker carrera split in half how many super sports cars did you saw splited in half? honstly i dont know if it is weak but i know it is very dangerous car so what is the point of it if you have to drive it so slow? and kill you by any mistake?
  • Z Malek

  • appelpower1
appelpower1 3 года назад +Vladpryde That's different. During school shootings, guns are doing what they were intended for. Porsches were never intended to kill actors, Boeings were never intended to fly into skyscrapers. Guns, however, are intended to kill people.
  • Dood
Dood 3 года назад 110 mph on a 40, dry rotted worn to hell tires, loses control, hits a tree. Not Porsches fault in any shape way or form. A family sedan doesn't survive that impact if the tree stays true. So stop with the appalling accusations towards Porsche.
  • Calamity
Calamity 3 года назад My dad will never forgive Williams for killing Ayrton Senna.
  • Groza Adrian
Groza Adrian 3 года назад +metheone theoneme Of course it splits in half given the excessive speed at which the car crashed. Also, most supercars don't split in half, that's true, they simply go on fire,so there you have it,you either die cut in half or burned.

randy109 2 года назад Any of these crazy High Performance Cars will kill you if you drive faster than your ability.  Like I said about some of the cars I've owned; "It WILL go 155 mph, I Won't"...  Like the Kawasaki Ninja, IT will go faster than the RIDER and a visit to the cemetery proves it.
  • Dood
Dood 2 года назад you dont need a crazy high performance car to hit a tree at 110 mph and die. thats what makes the fanboys sound even more stupid
  • Moabman
Moabman 2 года назад Personally, I think if a car company makes a "super car" it should have the crash protection design of a Nascar, not a Toyota camry. Especially since it's more likely amateur drivers will drive superstars. If professional race drivers are required to have such safety in their race car, why not have it in a super car also?
  • Dood
Dood 2 года назад you can say the same thing about any car really. id say family sedans especially because of the greater amount of high risk pasengers (children). what im saying is paul walkers death had nothing to do with the car he was in

  • S-Boy
S-Boy 2 года назад Snoop Doge thing is. A boeing is properly engineered to be safe and controllable. The Porsche is made with nothing in mind but laughs and giggles. Even if they're your last. Walker isn't the only fatality of the Carrera GT and i beat my ass he ain't the last either.
  • itsnot1984anymore
itsnot1984anymore 2 года назад Indeed. From the photos I saw the paul walker crash appeared to have been staged with many unexplained anomalies.. just like 9/11. I'm not sure we'll ever know what really became of him, but, it didn't look like he died in that car to me.
  • Nicolas Broszky
Nicolas Broszky 2 года назад (изменено) +Jaqen H'Ghar It is about as known to catch fire after a high speed collisions as any other car, no more and no less and the idea that it was a known problem is without any form of evidence. It's not really meant to be crashed into poles at very high speeds, very few cars are. The real reason was that they were driving a car with 9 year old sports tires in cold weather. Anyone who knows anything about tires knows that with age the rubber hardens, even more so with sports tires and when it's cold they harden even more (which is why it's illegal in many nations to drive with those sorts of tires in November). That means that when you lose the grip, and you will, you have no chance in hell to regain control of the car. Couple that with high speeds and the idiots crashed the car. You can try to blame Porsche for their stupidity if you want to but in reality they were needlessly killed by no other fault than their own.
  • Zatharos
Zatharos 2 года назад Not to mention that specific GT was modified so whoever tinkered with it is more at fault than anything
  • Nicolas Broszky
Nicolas Broszky 2 года назад +Zatharos I'm not sure about that but it had old dried out special tires that are made especially to handle that amount of torque and it was cold outside. Not to mention that they obviously went way too fast. You take a supersport car, any supersport car with those kind of tires on a cold November morning and go way too fast and this is the result every single time with every single car.

  • lecorsaire
lecorsaire Год назад tavi921 Not exactly. You can never leave out inflation otherwise you can go back to the '60s when avg Ferrari prices were about $16k. A time when a subway ride was 15 cents, now almost $3. In US dollars the original $487k price with tax included of course is the same as $650k today. Obviously it goes for more than this today but only because just over 1,200 were produced with the last ones delivered nearly 13 years ago now and it's a Porsche. The SLR's price was around the the same but only the really limited special ones are going for top dollar today. Like everything it will be valuable in time. Before 2013 or so Ferrari Testarossas were selling for $60-80k. Now it's hard to find any for less than $200k or more and that was a high production (for Ferrari) car.

Tons were on the secondary market then after the Paul waker crash they were sitting at around 400K then just exploded when people realized how little remain and that it's the last pure driving experience car. Now these things are selling for nearly a million if they are low miles.

  • Auto Young
Auto Young 2 года назад +игорь кизим It isn't boring, just an ego trip for people. It's just another way for people to look down on the next guy. You're engaged using a PDK on a track; there's just no third pedal. Put modern DCT trans and some performance driven autos in their full race modes and they can be over revved just like any manual. I assume you've never driven a PDK on track in full race mode. Ha, try it and shut up.
  • A
A 2 года назад @Auto Young only reason manual buys went down is because manual production did. more and more companies are even switching back/deciding to stay with manual cars. Even Porsche, the makers of the 918 which is quite possibly the quickest track car of all time, made the 911r because they realize that people still care about having stick shift supercars
  • игорь кизим

A 2 года назад @Auto Young porsche made the 911r to make money? • Patrick Steinmark
Patrick Steinmark 2 года назад Plus The CGT had NO stability control or computer nannies like todays flappy paddle rigs. You had to be dialed in and on point to nail a quick lap time. The car was more of an extension of you the driver, rather than a "fast ride" that you buckled yourself into and pushed a few buttons like at an amusement park. You can't really speak of the subject until you've driven a proper manual sports car, then make the ridiculous argument that a flappy paddled, computer assisted, stability controlled, traction assisted and ABS brake controlled sports car is as involving. Period.
