  • M W S
M W S 2 месяца назад (изменено) 1976 was a great year! Our space program was rocketing away, the United States had its bicentennial, disco was in its death throes, and that's the year I was born. And the AMC Gremlin was built here in my home state of Wisconsin. Although I have a bit of a soft spot for the Gremlin I still want to get my hands on a Pacer... Also don't you mean 43 years???

  • Evan J
Evan J 2 месяца назад (изменено) @Brickman1000 Disco made the four on the floor beat popular but I'd argue it was the R&B and funk groups of the 70's and their break beats coupled with the electronic movement that influenced a lot of the modern dance pop we hear now. Disco turned into more of a party favor and novelty act commonly heard at weddings, every now and again finding its way oddly into the main stream but not even close to what it was. That opening and closing high-hat and root-octave bass line really signifies disco and I don't hear that as much as you would have in the 70's.

  • Bartonovich52
Bartonovich52 2 месяца назад Lol... whut? In 1976, no Americans went to space, nor would they until 1981 Disco was coming mainstream and not only would be for the next three years (unofficially ending with Disco Demolition Night in 1979), but would permeate into rock and roll with heavily disco influenced albums like Some Girls, The Wall, Who Are You, Discovery, etc.

  • David Lafleche
David Lafleche 2 месяца назад @Christina Cope It was a funny beginning. But the Gremlin was a much better car than people think. The one in this video was definitely the "bargain" model. Okay, so it was a little weak, but it was one of the cheapest cars on the market, good for people on a tight budget. You get what you pay for.

  • Dans Music
Dans Music 4 недели назад @David Lafleche Not weak at all. This car probably has something wrong with it. The Gremlin was ridiculously faster than any of the competition and this with the standard engine.
