  • Rza Bot
Rza Bot 1 месяц назад thank god for elon musk, if it wasnt for him all these companies would still be using gas gosling engines. and saying "electric cars are impossible to make"
  • C3
C3 1 месяц назад So true. The industry needed someone to make the electric cars cool and Tesla did it.
  • Robert Blackford
Robert Blackford 1 месяц назад Rza, you are wrong. 100% false. Peugeot had an electric car before Elon Musk.
  • Gentleman Gamer
Gentleman Gamer 1 месяц назад @Robert Blackford what was it called
  • Robert Blackford
Robert Blackford 1 месяц назад Nissan came out with the Leaf in 2008 and Peugeot introduced the Ion in 2009, Both of were affordable cars and we’re available for sale that year. Tesla did not come out with their model S (an expensive car until 2012). Tesla had a Roadster a few years earlier but they were extremely limited production and cost over $150,000. I know Tesla owners hate to hear it, but Elon musk did not start the revolution. Other companies were producing electric cars for sale to the public before Elon musk put his mainstream cars into production. If you don’t believe me, watch the old Top Gear episode with the Nissan in the Peugeot. It was broadcast a full year before the model S was available.
  • Gentleman Gamer
Gentleman Gamer 1 месяц назад @Robert Blackford I wish Jeremy Clarkson and James may would do that trip again but in current generation electric cars
  • Robert Blackford
Robert Blackford 1 месяц назад Gamer...It would be a much different outcome wouldn’t it? In a little over 10 years we’ve gone from 80 miles range to over 300. Toyota is working on solid-state battery technology, and when that happens everything will change again.
  • Gentleman Gamer
Gentleman Gamer 1 месяц назад @Robert Blackford that's why I would love to see them repeat that trip again, but in a Pergout 208 electric and a Jaguar i pace
  • Gentleman Gamer
Gentleman Gamer 1 месяц назад @Robert Blackford i hope new Nissan Juke has an EV version available
  • Zelek Uther
Zelek Uther 1 месяц назад @Robert Blackford the Leaf was on sale in 2010 and the i-MiEV (also rebadged as iOn) in 2009. The Tesla Roadster was on sale in 2008. The key thing about the Roadster was it's sporty handling, 244 mile range and 0 to 60 time of 3.9 seconds. It grabbed people's attention, it proved that electric cars could be fast, stylish and fun.
  • Robert Blackford
Robert Blackford 1 месяц назад Zelek, the pint being is there were mass produced EV’s on sale before Elon Musk put his first Model S onto market. The first Roadster was a hand built car with about 500 copies made per year for wealthy patrons. It cost $150,000+ while Nissan and Peugeot were making cars for consumers. Yet Americans who weren’t paying attention to the rest of the world gave Musk credit for making the expensive model S.
  • Rza Bot
Rza Bot 1 месяц назад @Robert Blackford there have been flying car concepts for decades now, but we still dont have flying cars. Having a concept electric car like peugeot did means nothing, they just made a concept car, but didnt spend any money on marketing or making it appeal to the masses, same as flying car prototypes we have today.
  • Robert Blackford
Robert Blackford 1 месяц назад Rza, you MORON. The Peugeot Ion was NOT a concert car. It was a mass proof iced car which could be purchased two years before the Tesla Model S. God you’re stupid.
  • Stephen McKenna
Stephen McKenna 1 месяц назад Musk created nothing, there were many EVs before Tesla. What he did was tap into the iphone/apple well to do marketplace and sell them development/test products at inflated prices. The major players going EV is very bad news for Tesla.
  • Hans Blitzkrieg
Hans Blitzkrieg 1 месяц назад I actually hate that they want to replace V8s and V12s with microwawe engines
  • Curtis Hearn
Curtis Hearn 3 недели назад Robert Blackford, there's no need for the anger and name-calling dude...chill! He NEVER said Musk made the first electric car. Actually there were electric cars 100 years ago, so what does that prove anyway? The point is that Musk proved there was DEMAND for electric cars given the right price point and specs. Tesla had to start with expensive cars to raise capital for the massive investment needed to make mass market electric cars. No other car manufacturer could or would make that investment. And now that Tesla has the Model 3 and is rapidly taking market share from BMW and others, legacy automakers want in. Musk and company DO get credit for that, despite all his other flaws.
  • Curtis Hearn
Curtis Hearn 3 недели назад Hans Blitzkrieg you should do some research on electric cars then... so much faster than a v12
  • Hans Blitzkrieg
Hans Blitzkrieg 3 недели назад @Curtis Hearn maybe in 0-60, but top speed wise? No, just no and dont forget, that V12 sounds 10x better than some microwawe engine
  • Vardhan Shrivastava

  • TfGamess
TfGamess 4 недели назад Goodbye Tesla? Tesla is still the best in the EV. Ifyou didn't notice that, Tesla wins in every category.
  • john
john 4 недели назад @TfGamess they have a advantage in range and tech. For now! but they do not win in luxury
  • TfGamess
TfGamess 4 недели назад I guess the win, I totally love their interior and exterior.
  • john
john 4 недели назад Yeah tastes are different but I think it's to minimalistic specialy for the s and x model because of their price
  • Jagatjit Dhillon
Jagatjit Dhillon 5 дней назад I too thought Tesla was in trouble when Audi came out with the E-Tron..... until I saw it’s pathetic range (204 miles EPA). Tesla is way ahead in power train efficiency. Audi is definitely ahead in luxury, but I would rather not be stuck on the side of the road.

  • fetB
fetB 1 месяц назад why not? Camo doesn't have to mean military. There is also the effect of hiding the car shape, though in this case, its probably just because its flashy
  • capitano
capitano 1 месяц назад Camouflaged, as in wrapped so it's harder to tell the lines of the car. This is what they do when they are still desiging/further developping a model.

  • Gentleman Gamer
Gentleman Gamer 1 месяц назад @Pepe The Sad Froggo 30 minutes is nothing. I spend time in coffee shops longer than that
  • Pepe The Sad Froggo
Pepe The Sad Froggo 1 месяц назад @Gentleman Gamer I do not want to wait 30+ minutes in a highway stop while my god damn electric car is charging. I hope they will fix this issue asp

  • Varun Wadekar
Varun Wadekar 1 месяц назад Pininfarina is using Mahindra's formula E cars technology and powertrain, as Mahindra owns the brand, but they are sharing it with rimac as it secures safer business future for both brands.
  • ma jok
ma jok 1 месяц назад @Varun Wadekar go on Rimac web site and read everything

  • Varun Wadekar
Varun Wadekar 1 месяц назад @ma jok does Lamborghini puts on there website that they borrow parent brand Audi's v8 engine for urus ? Nobody does that
  • Varun Wadekar
Varun Wadekar 1 месяц назад @ma jok I do understand ur feelings and I too appreciate rimac as a brand
  • Varun Wadekar
Varun Wadekar 1 месяц назад (изменено) @Dev C Pininfarina itself is not using Mahindra's name anywhere in the whole show , as Mahindra is a tractor and utility vehicle making brand and popular only in third world countries and African countries.
  • Dev C
Dev C 1 месяц назад (изменено) @Varun Wadekar why don't you check pininfarina's website, they have put a picture which shows the battery pack and power train with Rimac branding
  • Varun Wadekar
Varun Wadekar 1 месяц назад @Dev C I feel it's a smart move for rimac as it saves huge money in powertrain r&d that they can use for expanding the business
  • Dev C
Dev C 1 месяц назад @Varun Wadekar Dude Rimac is not using any aid from Mahindra, Mahindra is using the power train and battery pack for Automobili Pininfarina's Batista.
  • Dev C
Dev C 1 месяц назад @Varun Wadekar Mahindra's much more than what you just said, and not just Mahindra, its rare that any parent company will put their badge on its subsidiaries. Have you seen Mahindra's badge in Ssangyong cars?
  • Dev C
Dev C 1 месяц назад (изменено) @ma jok I'm still sceptical about that considering their involvement in producing components for Aston Martin, Koenigsegg, Porsche etc and other partnerships
  • vaishali kakade

  • Dragan Segedin
Dragan Segedin 1 месяц назад @noah xavior yeah but Rimac delivers technology to all big logos ... as I can see to Mahindra as well even I never heard about it? Some North Korean company or?
  • Dragan Segedin
Dragan Segedin 1 месяц назад @Varun Wadekar we have also tractor and utility vehicle brands but we never send them in Geneva
  • noah xavior
noah xavior 1 месяц назад @Dragan Segedin Mahindra is indian, most of the indian brands(big ones) buys European and us companies to expand their sales overseas. For example The indian conglomerate Tata bought ford, landrover, and jaguar.Again i'm not sure of how it works technically. As both Mahindra and tata has their own r&d in india, and it seems like(from outside) their keeping a distance from subsidiaries, as both Tata and Mahindra cars don't look much like the subsidiary brands. The same is not true in the case of bmw and rolls Royce, as they both use the idrive system owned by bmw.
  • Dragan Segedin
Dragan Segedin 1 месяц назад noah xavior that is what I afraid - cheap, disaster on our streets ... yeah, TATA is truly quality :) ... ford, landrover, jaguar does not exist any more and "brand" is over for every European customer including me. ... India can not produce a car. What is produces is not per EU standards. What I'm talking is about electrical hypercars, not riksha or tuk-tuk tata truck. .. In electric cars Rimac is all together: Aston Martin, Porche, .... .
